Meet your Newborn & Baby Photographer!
When you think about booking your newborn photographer you want to feel comfort in knowing you have chosen the right person. Putting your trust into a relative stranger… that can be daunting, it really can! I’m really pleased to say every single one of my families have felt completely at ease handing over their most precious wee bundles for their newborn session. However it really can’t not help to tell you a little about me!
So I have put together some facts that will hopefully give you a wee bit of an insight into me! You could also follow me on instagram too where I tend to post a mixture of photography and personal stuff! You can follow my eldest daughters journey to the World Karate Championships with her Kanzen Karate squad mates this summer. Hear about my middle daughters fascination with all things creepy crawlies. You may even find my youngest sweeping her grandmothers back garden while singing ‘it’s a hard knock life’. I like to share photos of food so I will apologise now for that part!
All in all you will get a better sense of ‘me’ which I think is instrumental in choosing your newborn photographer!
The serious bit…
Just to get a wee bit serious for a second… I have been photographing for 9 years now, with the bulk of that focusing on newborns and babies. Whilst I was originally self taught (I was one of the first newborn posers in Scotland!). I have since trained with some of the great American newborn photography trainers to perfect my techniques. Occasionally I also train others however I’m not a great public speaker though so not something I indulge in too often!
I am professionally qualified and hold my ‘Associate’ qualification with the SWPP (Society of Wedding & Portrait Photographers). I also passed my Craftsman qualification with the Guild of Photographers.
SO… I hope all this info helps a bit in your decision… Now you can go look at all the gorgeous images in my portfolio and plan what shots you would love of your little one!
